Loudoun Virginia Homes for Sale
Best Schools, Services and Shops in Northern Virginia
Loudoun County has become one of the best places to live in Northern Virginia due to the quality of life that residents enjoy here. This quality of life includes amazing schools (many rated 7 or better, with lots of 8/10 and 9/10 ratings), great services (Fire/Rescue/Hospital) and a recent influx of shopping (One Loudoun and Dulles Town Center). In addition, the county is doing a good job of managing growth and is finally catching up to the transportation needs of the community with the metro system slated to be extended here by 2020. There is also lots of new construction and existing home sales to satisfy the growth for “newcomers” to Loudoun. And, lastly, the “rural western” part of the county has developed a sizable vineyard presence celebrating Loudoun’s agricultural heritage over 200 years.
Loudoun has a variety of entertainment options for those looking for a little bit of fun. Whether its enjoying a movie at the various theaters, a concert at Smokehouse Live or on the Green at Leesburg, or just enjoying a glass of wine and a quiet moment at one of our vineyards, there is plenty to do here. Also, don’t forget the Fall Festivals that we have here due to the agricultural pursuits including the ones at Great Country Farms in Bluemont or Ticonderoga Farms in South Riding.
As mentioned earlier, schools in Loudoun are excellent and are better than many of their peers in the surrounding counties. This comes from a commitment by the local government to the school system, and a very involved parent base who due to the wealth of the county are able to invest in the schools system through donations of money and time. Overall, many of the schools in Loudoun are ranked very high due to test scores, and the overall curriculum of the school system. Beyond that, the county’s proximity to the nation’s capital brings lots of cultural and educational opportunities through field trips and guest speakers. Finally, Loudoun is building the new STEM school, Academies of Loudoun, that will allow students to learn more about the growing Science and Technology field and become the technologists of the future.
